Location: Remote EST, some travel required to sites within the US.
Position Description:
- Hands-on experience with the integration of newly acquired companies into our established Microsoft 365 environment. Confidently lead the team along the migration.
- Execute tenant-to-tenant migrations and other data migration tasks while following our mature, proven migration process and leveraging tools such as ShareGate.
Required Skills:
- Senior level Project management skill is the most important piece of this role.
- Hands-on experience leading tenant to tenant Office365 migrations
- Experience planning and executing Office 365 tenant-to-tenant migrations for newly acquired companies.
- Maintain and enhance existing migration frameworks, including detailed project plans, communication plans, scripts, and templates.
- Manage end-to-end migration projects, coordinating timelines, tasks, and stakeholders to ensure smooth execution with minimal disruption to end users.
- Conduct pre-migration assessments and post-migration validation to ensure data integrity and successful cutovers.
- Tool based migrations of SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, and other M365 workloads.
- Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders clearly and proactively.
- Collaborate with internal IT teams and third parties to resolve technical challenges during migration.
- Support other migration tasks as needed, such as on-premises server migrations, Linux workloads, or legacy system transitions (preferred, but not required).
- In additon to the primary functions above, they also need to jump in wherever since this is a smaller but growing company, so add any value anywhere you can!
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience with Office 365 tenant-to-tenant migrations in a corporate environment.
- Strong project management skills; ability to drive multiple projects concurrently to successful completion.
- Hands-on experience with ShareGate, BitTitan, or similar migration tools.
- Solid understanding of Microsoft 365 architecture, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and OneDrive.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to follow established processes and contribute to continuous improvement.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with non-O365 migrations (e.g., on-premises mail/file servers, Linux based mail/file server, Hosted email).
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert, PMP).
- Familiarity with hybrid environments and identity management (Azure AD, Active Directory).
