Our client in Philadelphia is seeking an experienced eCommerce Business Analyst with a strong background in eCommerce platforms and website launches to support an ongoing digital project. This long-term contract role will focus on gathering and translating business and technical requirements related to eCommerce functionality, including product catalog management, shopping cart behavior, checkout workflows, and integrations with third-party systems such as payment gateways and order fulfillment platforms.
The BA will work closely with product owners, developers, QA, and UX/UI teams to ensure smooth planning and execution of features leading up to new eCommerce website launches or enhancements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business and technical requirements for eCommerce website functionality.
- Translate requirements into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and wireframes to support development and QA teams.
- Support initiatives related to eCommerce website launches, including shopping cart flows, product pages, checkout, order tracking, and user account features.
- Coordinate closely with cross-functional teams (Product, QA, Dev, UX) to ensure business needs are met and changes are clearly communicated.
- Assist in backlog grooming, sprint planning, and user acceptance testing for eCommerce deliverables.
- Track and manage changes to requirements and priorities in a fast-paced Agile environment.
- Provide support during go-live activities and post-launch testing for new or updated website functionality.
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst
- Direct experience supporting eCommerce website projects and launches.
- Strong understanding of eCommerce workflows (product catalogs, cart/checkout, payment, order fulfillment).
- Proven ability to write clear and actionable user stories, process maps, and business requirements documents.
- Experience working with Agile/Scrum teams and participating in relevant ceremonies.
- Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, and collaboration platforms.
