Inventory / Cost Accountant – Exton, PA Area
Our client, a growing organization local to Exton, PA, is seeking an Inventory / Cost Accountant to join their accounting team. This position will play a key role in managing inventory accounting, cost analysis, and financial reporting to support operational decision-making. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a manufacturing, distribution, or product-based environment and strong analytical skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate inventory and cost accounting records
- Analyze product costs, variances, and inventory valuation
- Perform inventory reconciliations and support cycle counts and physical inventories
- Prepare journal entries related to inventory and cost of goods sold
- Assist with month-end close and financial reporting processes
- Partner with operations and supply chain teams to improve cost controls and processes
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 2+ years of inventory or cost accounting experience preferred
- Experience in manufacturing or distribution environments a plus
- Strong Excel skills and ERP system experience
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
