Location: Hybrid Philadelphia – 3 days on site/week required
Our client is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with strong utility‑industry experience to support their meter‑to‑cash operations, Oracle CCMB environment, and ongoing application enhancements. Candidates will play a key role in reviewing technical designs, ensuring alignment with company’s production systems, and providing subject‑matter expertise across billing, credit/collections, and OUAF‑based applications.
Position Description
- Support end‑to‑end meter‑to‑cash lifecycle, including smart meter reads, billing, payments, and credit/collections
- Review and validate technical designs for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to production standards
- Provide expertise on Oracle CC&B/CCMB operations and the Oracle Utilities Application Framework (OUAF)
- Assist designers and developers by answering functional and technical questions based on company’s existing system behavior
- Ensure all solutions meet business, technical, and compliance requirements
- Apply strong SQL and full‑stack Java development skills in support of system enhancements
- Demonstrate leadership‑level communication and decision‑making without formal team management responsibilities
Required Skills
- 5+ years of software engineering experience
- Utility industry background with hands‑on meter‑to‑cash process knowledge
- Experience with Oracle CC&B or CCMB operations
- Understanding of credit and collections workflows in utility billing
- Strong SQL expertise (advanced level)
- Working knowledge of full‑stack Java development
- Familiarity with OUAF and Oracle’s utility application architecture
- Ability to review and validate technical designs
- Strong communication and leadership presence
