About the Role
We’re seeking motivated candidates to join a growing team supporting electric utility distribution projects. This is a great opportunity for both experienced designers and early-career engineers who are interested in building a career in the utility and energy industry. You’ll play a key role in delivering reliable power solutions across overhead and underground systems.
Required Skills
- Experience supporting or developing overhead and underground (OH/UG/URD) electric distribution designs
- Knowledge of distribution systems including 4kV-138kV, transformers, and street lighting
- Understanding of core engineering concepts (pole loading, guying, sag & tension, voltage drop)
- Exposure to GIS/CAD tools (e.g., Smallworld, Bentley, MicroStation)
- Ability to interpret field data and produce accurate design packages
Education & Experience
- Completed Bachelor of Science in an Engineering discipline (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or Industrial preferred)
- Level I: Bachelor’s degree 0-1+ years experience or equivalent combination
- Level II: Bachelor’s 2+ years experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
Soft Skills
- Strong communication and ability to work with clients and cross-functional teams
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality
- Adaptable, with a willingness to learn and grow in the utilities space
