We are seeking an experienced IT Support Engineer to join a fast-paced IT team in Boston. This individual will serve as a technical resource, providing hands-on desktop and end-user support while contributing to key IT initiatives and projects. The ideal candidate will be a strong problem solver, an effective communicator, and a mentor to junior team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide both deskside and remote technical support to end users.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, network, and connectivity issues.
- Manage employee onboarding and offboarding, including account provisioning and equipment setup.
- Configure, deploy, and support laptops and end-user devices.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure timely updates to support tickets.
- Collaborate with IT teams to support ongoing projects and process improvements.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior support engineers.
- Deliver exceptional customer service while communicating technical information clearly and professionally.
Required Qualifications
- Strong experience supporting enterprise IT environments.
- Hands-on experience with:
- Microsoft Entra ID
- Microsoft Intune
- Active Directory
- Experience configuring and deploying laptops and end-user devices.
- Ability to read, understand, troubleshoot, and make modifications to PowerShell and/or Python scripts (development experience is not required).
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals and troubleshooting techniques.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a user-focused approach.
