Responsibilities
- Develop, program, and optimize CNC machining operations using CAM software.
- Set up and support CNC mills and lathes, ensuring quality, efficiency, and accuracy.
- Troubleshoot machining issues and perform routine equipment maintenance.
- Design and build fixtures, jigs, and workholding solutions to support manufacturing.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to improve part designs for manufacturability.
- Support prototype and production machining activities.
- Manage tooling, raw materials, and machine shop inventory.
- Maintain process documentation, work instructions, and maintenance records.
- Promote a safe, organized, and efficient machine shop environment.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Manufacturing Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of CNC programming, setup, and machining experience.
- Experience operating CNC mills and lathes, including multi-axis equipment (2-axis through 5-axis).
- Proficiency with CAM software such as Mastercam, NX CAM, EdgeCam, or similar.
- Experience interpreting engineering drawings, GD&T, and 3D CAD models using SolidWorks, NX, or equivalent software.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
- Experience creating technical documentation and process instructions.
