Our client in Needham MA is seeking a Junior Distribution Engineer looking to learn and grow in the area of advanced Distribution Systems. This is an excellent opportunity to put your engineering degree into practice building essential electric utility infrastrucutre. Candidates with educational experience in power delivery and/or distribution delivery are encouraged to apply.
Candidates must have an Engineering degree and be able to work onsite Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm in Needham MA
Rate: $30/hr (non-negotiable)
Requirements:
- Power delivery experience
- Leadership (leading project or group) experience
- Degree Requirements
- 4-year degree-ABET Accredited or 2yr degree with relevant experience
Responsibilities:

Develop, design and construction work packages for overhead and underground electrical distribution systems ranging from 4kV to 138kV, supporting transformer overload mitigation, inspection and maintenance programs, joint-use projects, and corrective actions identified through field inspections.

Ensur compliance with quality, safety, and engineering standards while delivering projects within established scope, schedule, and budget requirements.
- Project work may include joint use make ready, and street light projects. Work packages will be developed using Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools, Work Management Systems (WMS), and other client systems. Project work will require performing engineering calculations that may include: structural analysis of poles, guying, cable pulling, electric demand, fault currents, and coordination of protective devices.
