Location: Home base will be out of Wilmington, DE
Duration: Contract to hire
Salary: 110-159K
Travel: This role will have local travel 1 week and the next week will require travel to company site in another location in US. Travel, hotels and meals will be paid.
We are seeking a Senior Construction & Commissioning Manager to lead the execution, quality assurance, commissioning, and turnover of complex power, utility, critical infrastructure, and industrial construction projects. This role serves as the field leader responsible for overseeing construction activities, ensuring compliance with design requirements, driving safety and quality standards, coordinating subcontractors, and supporting successful project commissioning and operational readiness.
Required Qualifications

- 5+ years of construction management experience.
- Experience overseeing large-scale industrial, utility, energy, critical infrastructure, manufacturing, or government construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of electrical power distribution systems, generators, substations, transformers, ATS equipment, VFDs, and facility infrastructure.
- Proven experience managing projects through design, construction, commissioning, startup, and turnover phases.
- Ability to read and interpret civil, mechanical, electrical, and construction drawings.
- Experience managing subcontractors, vendors, and multi-disciplinary project teams.
- Strong understanding of safety programs, quality management systems, and construction compliance requirements.
- Experience with RFIs, change orders, project documentation, scheduling, cost tracking, and contractor management.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
