Our client in Philadelphia is seeking an accounting clerk on a temp to perm basis:
Responsibilities
* Process and record financial transactions in the accounting system
* Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities
* Prepare and update spreadsheets, reports, and reconciliations
* Support month‑end and year‑end closing tasks
* Review invoices, statements, and supporting documents for accuracy
* Maintain organized files and documentation for accounting records
* Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding payments, balances, or account status
* Assist with resolving discrepancies by researching account details and coordinating with internal departments
* Perform data entry, filing, and other administrative duties as needed
Qualifications
* High school diploma or equivalent; additional coursework in accounting preferred
* Basic understanding of accounting principles
* Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and general office software
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
* Effective communication and organizational skills
