POSITION SUMMARY:
The Finance Project Manager leads cross-functional Finance and Accounting initiatives from planning through implementation and closeout. The role manages scope, schedule, budget, risks, and stakeholder communications while partnering with Finance, Accounting, IT, and business teams to deliver effective process and system improvements.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plans and manages Finance and Accounting projects from initiation through implementation and closeout.
- Defines scope, objectives, milestones, schedules, budgets, resources, risks, dependencies, and success measures.
- Coordinates Finance, Accounting, IT, business teams, and external partners to drive decisions and deliverables.
- Leads requirements, process design, testing, training, cutover, change management, and business readiness activities.
- Tracks project status, issues, risks, budgets, and decisions; communicates progress and escalates concerns as needed.
- Supports Finance transformation, process improvement, automation, ERP or financial-system initiatives, and project governance.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Information Systems, Project Management, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
- 5+ years of project management experience, including Finance, Accounting, ERP, shared services, or business-transformation initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to manage scope, schedules, budgets, risks, testing, implementation, and stakeholder communications.
- Working knowledge of Finance and Accounting processes and financial systems; SAP, Oracle, or comparable ERP experience preferred.
- Strong leadership, facilitation, analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills; PMP, CAPM, or Agile certification preferred.
