Beacon Hill Technologies is seeking a detail-oriented Technical Writer to develop clear, accurate, and well‑structured documentation across technology, governance, and operational domains. This role partners closely with Engineering, Governance Risk & Compliance (GRC), and business leaders to translate complex technical and architectural concepts into concise, actionable documentation for both internal and external audiences. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail‑oriented, and comfortable working in regulated or enterprise environments where precision, clarity, and consistency are critical.

Required Skills:

3+ years of experience as a Technical Writer

Proven ability to produce high‑quality technical documentation, including policies, standards, procedures, playbooks, specifications, and operational runbooks.

Strong skill in documenting system architectures, data flows, and end‑to‑end process workflows using clear diagrams and visual artifacts.

Demonstrated experience collaborating with Governance, Risk & Compliance, Engineering, and leadership teams to gather requirements and validate accuracy.

Exceptional ability to translate complex technical, architectural, and compliance concepts into clear, plain‑language content.

Proficiency in creating visual aids, process flows, and diagrams that enhance understanding and usability.

Excellent communication & attention to detail

Ability to ensure documentation complies with internal governance standards, industry best practices, and branding/style guidelines.

Strong documentation management skills, including version control, organization, and maintenance within shared repositories and knowledge platforms.

Continuous‑improvement mindset with the ability to incorporate stakeholder feedback to refine and evolve documentation over time.

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field

Desired Skills:

Working knowledge of common security and compliance frameworks such as NIST, ISO, SOC 2, PCI DSS, or comparable standards.

Experience supporting product release initiatives, including creating clear, customer‑facing technical documentation.

Solid understanding of software development practices, cloud platforms, and core IT infrastructure concepts.

Prior experience within the hospitality industries

Masters Degree in an IT or Cyber Security related field
