Responsibilities
* Manage general ledger activities, including transaction posting, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliations
* Lead month-end and year-end close processes
* Handle cash management and reporting across multiple bank accounts
* Coordinate with external CPA firm for annual tax preparation, provide documentation, respond to inquiries, and review/post tax adjustments
* Process accounts receivable and accounts payable, including transfers, wires, and ACH payments
* Reconcile all banking and investment account activity
* Prepare quarterly and annual compliance reporting
* Process monthly and quarterly investor distributions
* Maintain investment accounting software to ensure accurate and timely data
* Communicate with internal teams and external investor stakeholders
* Ensure adherence to GAAP and relevant financial regulations
* Support Controller, CFO, and investment team with ad hoc requests
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
* 8+ years of accounting experience, with senior or lead-level responsibilities preferred
* Proficiency in Yardi Voyager and advanced Excel
* Strong GAAP knowledge and technical accounting skills
* Strong analytical, organizational, and communication abilities
* Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
