As a Product Manager, you are helping in the evolution of our products by bringing new features and concepts to market. You are both a deep-knowledge product owner who is primarily responsible for guiding concepts through development to launch while carrying a breadth of strategic oversight to the future direction of the product as a product manager. This role works closely with a multi-disciplinary team that includes Product Leadership, Technology Strategy, Architects, Design, QA, Engineering and/or the Scrum Master.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Breakdown feature concepts into Epics and User Stories, while helping to prioritize and maintain the team backlog.
- Working and collaborating closely with the VP of Product Strategy, Director of Product Management, and Director of Technology Strategy to embody and communicate the vision of the product roadmap to cross functional teams
- Work cross-functionally to align internal stakeholders on near-term goals and priorities.
- Collaborate with scrum teams to ensure user stories are clear and resolve open issues/questions quickly and efficiently while acting as `voice of the customer’.
- Own and participate in team Scrum ceremonies such as backlog grooming, stand-ups, and sprint planning in cooperation with the Scrum Master.
- Partner with product leadership to ensure prioritization supports product strategy, market needs, and overall company vision.
- Support beta tests and product launches.
- Manage select vendor relationships, acting as a liaison for Customer Success.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- 4-6 years of experience in a similar product management/business analyst type role
- In lieu of Bachelor’s Degree: 6-8 years of experience as a business analyst or similar role
- Experience with complex, matrix like business models
- Experience in Health IT
- Understanding of PDLC, SDLC, JIRA, Git, Dev, QA, to UAT and Launch
- Proactive and creative problem solver who can operate effectively even with some level uncertainty/comfort with ambiguity
- Experience with Agile Scrum and Kanban Methodology for software development
- Ability to create user stories and do product acceptance testing with a knowledge of Gherkin or similar methodologies
- Familiarity with or exposure to hypothesis driven product management
- Strong written and verbal communication skills that enable you to simplify complex problems and interact with all levels of technical and non-technical peers
- Self-motivated and results from oriented individual able to work independently and collaboratively with a team
