Overview
Seeking a Field Service Technician to support medical imaging and diagnostic equipment across healthcare facilities in the Los Angeles region. This role includes installation support, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and emergency repair services, while delivering exceptional customer service and support.
Responsibilities
* Perform installations, preventive maintenance, and repairs on diagnostic/medical imaging equipment at customer facilities
* Diagnose and resolve technical issues using documentation, software tools, and technical knowledge
* Plan and manage daily field schedule while coordinating with regional teammates
* Maintain field inventory, order replacement parts, and return used components per protocol
* Promote service programs and billable services; assist with creating service quotes and closing service opportunities
* Identify new product or upgrade opportunities and pass leads to the sales team
* Accurately complete service records and documentation for billing and compliance
* Maintain company-provided vehicle, equipment, tools, and technology devices
* Protect confidential technical information, service manuals, and software tools
Who You’ll Work With
* Clinical end users and medical facility staff (physicians, techs, administrators, purchasing teams, etc.)
* Internal service, customer support, technical assistance, and sales teams
* Central service operations and repair center teams
Qualifications
* Associate’s degree preferred in electronics, mechanical engineering, biomedical tech, IT networking, computer science, or related field
- Equivalent military technical training or a HS diploma/GED with related certifications/experience also considered
* Experience in a healthcare, biomedical, technical field service, or customer-support environment preferred
* Ability to perform maintenance, verification, calibration, and repairs on technical equipment
* Strong organizational skills with ability to manage schedule and priorities independently
* Excellent communication and customer-service skills
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with CRM/service-ticket tools
* Ability to travel throughout assigned territory up to ~70%, occasionally overnight
* Willingness to work flexible hours, including some evenings, weekends, holiday coverage, or on-call rotation
* Must be able to lift/push 50+ lbs and comfortably perform physical field duties (climbing, kneeling, standing, etc.)
* Valid driver’s license required
