This role is onsite 5 days a week
Working on a cutting-edge team developing next-generation unmanned systems for both defense and commercial applications. This is a highly collaborative role where you’ll partner with design and controls engineers to help bring complex systems from concept through deployment.
You’ll get exposure across the full systems lifecycle – from early requirements and architecture to prototyping, testing, and validation – all within small, fast-moving engineering teams.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Support end-to-end systems development (requirements → design → test → validation)
* Manage and track system requirements, including traceability and burn-down progress
* Work cross-functionally to allocate requirements across subsystems
* Assist in developing system architectures and simulation models
* Contribute to system performance analysis and design decisions
* Support flight testing efforts, including test planning and data collection
* Help identify and troubleshoot system-level issues and design gaps
* Interpret technical specifications and translate them into actionable engineering work
* Contribute to system safety planning and test procedures
What They’re Looking For
* Bachelor’s degree in Systems, Electrical, Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or similar
* 0-2 years of experience (internships, research, or project work counts)
* Exposure to systems engineering fundamentals (requirements, testing, validation, etc.)
* Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools like Cameo
* Understanding of system reliability concepts (FMEA, MTBF, etc.)
* Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Nice to Have
* Experience with tools like JIRA, JAMA
* Exposure to simulation/modeling tools (Simulink, Ansys, SolidWorks)
* Familiarity with guidance, navigation, and control (GNC) systems
* Experience supporting hardware/software integration or testing
* Interest in unmanned systems, aerospace, or robotics
Why This Role is Interesting
* Hands-on exposure to real-world system development (not just documentation)
* Opportunity to work across multiple engineering disciplines
* High-impact work tied to advanced unmanned technologies
* Strong learning environment with mentorship from senior engineers
