Beacon Hill is a proud partner to a reputable Housing Authority. We are currently hiring an Accounting Specialist.
Responsibilities/Duties
The responsibilities of the Accounting Specialist are, but are not limited to:

Prepare and send invoices for inspection services on a regular schedule.

Ensure accuracy in billing details, including service descriptions, rates, and client information.

Track and follow up on outstanding invoices; manage collections as needed.

Maintain organized records of all AR and billing activity.

Communicate with clients professionally regarding billing inquiries or disputes.

Process payroll twice monthly for 10-15 employees and approximately 25 independent contractors.

Collect and verify time entries and other payroll-related data.

Ensure accurate calculation of wages, deductions, and taxes.

Coordinate payment methods (e.g., direct deposit, checks).

Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with state and federal labor laws.

Prepare year-end tax forms (e.g., W-2s for employees and 1099s for contractors).
Requirements

2+ years of experience in billing, accounts receivable, or payroll administration.

Proficiency with accounting/payroll software (e.g.,Great Plains, SharePoint or ADP)

Strong Excel and data entry skills.

High attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
