Beacon Hill Associates is seeking a Freight Invoicing Specialist for a contract assignment located in Roswell, GA.
This role supports the Transportation Team and will play a key part in freight payables, vendor communications, and logistics-related accounting functions. While the position will primarily be remote, candidates local to the Roswell area are preferred for potential onsite needs. This is a contract role expected to run through November, with the possibility of extension depending on evolving needs.
Daily Duties:

Act as the liaison between the AP team and vendors to manage logistics-related payables, remittance, and aging statements

Provide support for freight invoice coding, discrepancies, and resolution

Assist the logistics team with accounting functions, including monthly, quarterly, and annual accruals

File and manage freight claims; serve as subject matter expert for the team

Investigate and resolve carrier invoice issues and payment inquiries

Conduct research to reconcile discrepancies across systems (TMS, financial software, vendor inquiries)

Work with carriers to resolve damaged load issues and ensure appropriate claim handling
Ideal Candidate:
-
1-3 years of experience in transportation, logistics, supply chain, or AP-related roles within a retail or wholesale business

Experience resolving Less-than-Truckload (LTL) discrepancies and freight-related invoice issues

Highly organized with the ability to manage documentation and follow-up independently

Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and SaaS-based TMS platforms preferred

Proficiency in Excel including pivot tables, graphs, and charts

Strong understanding of finance/accounting workflows and invoice reconciliation

A 4-year degree or equivalent industry experience

Professional, resourceful, and self-motivated with strong communication and customer service skills

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, remote-heavy team environment
