About the Role
We’re seeking a seasoned Manufacturing Systems Technician to be the on-site “face of IT” on a high-volume production floor. You’ll support and interface with a large and diverse machine/device ecosystem (2,000+ endpoints), keep data flows healthy (shares, IP addressing, connectivity), document solutions in a knowledge base, and deliver outstanding customer service to operations teams. The ideal candidate blends hands-on manufacturing systems experience with solid IT fundamentals and clear, confident communication.
What You’ll Do
- Serve as the primary IT contact on the shop/production floor; provide high-touch customer support to manufacturing users.
- Triage, resolve, and track tickets in ServiceNow (approx. 70% in-person floor support / 30% remote support across global teams).
- Support and troubleshoot connectivity to machine interfaces and attached devices (2,000+): shared folders, IP configurations, network reachability.
- Create and maintain technical documentation and knowledge base articles for repeatable fixes and runbooks.
- Leverage SQL, Python, and VBScript for data queries, simple automations, reporting, and tooling.
- Partner with operations, engineering, and global IT to prioritize issues, communicate ETAs, and prevent repeat incidents.
- Contribute to continuous improvement across monitoring, documentation quality, and ticket hygiene.
