Beacon Hill’s client is seeking a Temporary Legal Administrative Assistant to support their asbestos litigation group for approximately 4 months beginning December 1, 2025.
Hours: 8:30 am – 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
THIS IS NOT A REMOTE POSITION.
The ideal candidate will assist attorneys in asbestos litigation. This role requires excellent communication, organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a high-volume legal environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys in managing certain aspects of asbestos litigation cases
- Maintain and organize case files, documents, and correspondence
- Maintain West Virginia yearly trial group deadlines in asbestos shared calendar
- Prepare and proofread various legal documents
- Assist with e-filing of court documents for Pennsylvania and West Virginia
- Process insurance carrier settlement checks, and submit vendor invoices via ChromeRiver
- Management of document management system (iManage)
- Provide general administrative support, including document scanning and copying, physical filing/storage of documents, and processing of outgoing mail
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as a litigation assistant in a law firm or legal department.
- Strong understanding of litigation processes, court rules, and legal procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and document management software (iManage)
- Attention to detail with top notch proofreading skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines
- Possess comfort level with working in a high-volume practice
- Proficiency with legal document management systems
- Ability to multi-task and balance multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
