Beacon Hill is seeking a litigation paralegal to support attorneys across a variety of dispute matters for our client in Dallas. This role assists throughout the life of a case – from early investigation through hearing or trial – and combines traditional litigation support with modern technology tools. The position requires strong organization, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Primary Responsibilities
Case & Document Management
- Maintain organized electronic matter files and supporting documentation
- Assist with document collection, processing, and production coordination
- Track deadlines, filings, and litigation milestones
- Organize exhibits and prepare materials for attorney review
Drafting & Research Support
- Prepare drafts of discovery materials, subpoenas, notices, and routine filings
- Assist with preparation of motions, declarations, and related correspondence
- Conduct background research on parties, experts, and opposing counsel
- Verify citations and formatting in briefs and filings
Court Filings & Proceedings
- File documents in federal and state courts using electronic filing systems
- Prepare hearing and deposition materials
- Provide support during depositions, hearings, arbitrations, and trials (remote or in person)
- Assist with preparation of witness and exhibit materials
Litigation Analysis & Coordination
- Track and summarize case developments and motion outcomes
- Assist with reporting on case activity and deadlines
- Coordinate with outside vendors and service providers when needed
- Support expert-related research and document organization
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience considered
- Approximately 3+ years of litigation experience in a law firm or professional legal environment
- Familiarity with civil procedure rules and litigation workflow
- Experience using legal research and case management tools
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and document management systems
- Ability to manage large document sets and meet deadlines
- Strong proofreading and organizational skills
