Director of Total Rewards
Norfolk, VA
We’re partnering with a leading multi-state industrial organization to identify a strategic Director of Total Rewards to lead enterprise-wide compensation, benefits, and rewards strategy.
This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for designing competitive, performance-driven programs that attract, retain, and motivate a diverse workforce – including executive, corporate, field, and skilled-trade populations.
What You’ll Lead:
✔️ Executive & broad-based compensation strategy (base, STI, LTI, sales plans)
✔️ Annual merit cycles, market benchmarking & pay governance
✔️ Health & welfare, retirement (401k/pension), and well-being programs
✔️ Corporate relocation strategy & workforce mobility
✔️ Total rewards analytics, forecasting & compliance oversight
✔️ M&A rewards due diligence & integration support
✔️ Executive reporting & board-level materials
✔️ Leadership and development of a small rewards team
What We’re Looking For:
* 10+ years progressive compensation & benefits experience
* Executive compensation & incentive design expertise
* Strong financial modeling & data analytics skills
* Experience in industrial, manufacturing, construction, or multi-site environments preferred
* Bachelor’s required; MBA or advanced certifications (CCP, CBP, CEBS) a plus
This role partners closely with senior leadership and requires strong business acumen, strategic thinking, and the ability to influence at the executive level.
