Beacon Hill Legal is seeking a Georgia licensed attorney for a part-time, fully remote, open ended contract opportunity with our client in Atlanta, GA. Candidates must be licensed in Georgia but can be located anywhere. Candidates may expect to work between 15-20 hours per week in this position. Concurrent work is acceptable.
The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of experience with healthcare regulatory matters such as state licensure and scope of practice regulations, Medicare and Medicaid billing compliance, the Stark Law, the Anti-Kickback Statute, False Claims Act, and HIPAA. This position is project-based and will require legal analysis, writing, strategic thinking, and collaboration with a team to achieve exceptional results for our clients.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with legal team and advise clients regarding healthcare regulatory matters
- Analyze issues related to federal and state healthcare regulations and compliance, including Medicare and Medicaid billing regulations, the Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, HIPAA, False Claims Act, overpayment laws, telemedicine practice, and state laws regarding provider licensing and scope of practice
- Conduct legal research and prepare written analysis for opinions, letters, memoranda, and pleadings with a focus on healthcare regulatory issues
- Participate in investigations of healthcare compliance matters
