Leasing Coordinator
Temporary Assignment | $18/hour | Non‑Exempt (OT Eligible)
Our client is seeking a detail‑oriented, customer‑focused Leasing Coordinator to support day‑to‑day leasing operations at an affordable housing community. In this role, you’ll be the first point of contact for prospects-handling inquiries, conducting tours, qualifying applicants, and preparing compliant lease files-helping drive occupancy while delivering an excellent resident experience.
What You’ll Do
- Manage leasing traffic through phone/email inquiries, tours, outreach, and consistent follow‑up
- Conduct property tours, open houses, and resident events to generate qualified leads
- Pre‑qualify applicants and prepare accurate lease, move‑in, renewal, and recertification files
- Review income, assets, and household composition to determine program pre‑eligibility
- Ensure compliance with HUD, LIHTC, HPD, and Fair Housing requirements
- Track and report leasing activity, traffic, conversions, and occupancy metrics
- Prepare qualified files for handoff to the Occupancy Specialist
- Support marketing, outreach, and retention initiatives to maintain full occupancy
- Provide exceptional customer service to prospects and residents
- Identify market trends and competition to support leasing strategy
- Provide notary services as needed
What We’re Looking For
- 1+ year of experience in leasing, sales, hospitality, marketing, or multifamily housing
- Strong customer service and sales mindset
- Experience reviewing financial documents (pay stubs, tax returns, rent statements)
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and remain compliant
- Strong communication skills and a resident‑centered approach
- Comfortable in fast‑paced, change‑driven environments
- High school diploma/GED required (Bachelor’s preferred)
