Beacon Hill is seeking a detail-oriented Freight Invoicing and Claims Coordinator to support a high-volume transportation team. This role focuses on freight-related payables, invoice reconciliation, and claims management.

Position Details

  • Job Type: Contract
  • Pay Rate: $25-$30/hour
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Work Arrangement: Onsite

Key Responsibilities

  • Support freight invoicing and vendor payables across logistics operations
  • Act as liaison between Accounts Payable and carriers/vendors for invoice and payment inquiries
  • Review and resolve freight invoice discrepancies and payment issues
  • Conduct research across systems to investigate and correct billing inconsistencies
  • Manage freight claims, including filing, tracking, and resolution for damaged or missing goods
  • Assist with invoice coding and reconciliation processes
  • Support accruals for monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting cycles
  • Respond to vendor and carrier inquiries regarding payment status and discrepancies
  • Maintain organized records of invoices, claims, and supporting documentation
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate payment processing

Systems & Tools

  • Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, data analysis)
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Dynamics 365 (or similar ERP/accounting systems)
  • SaaS-based Transportation Management Systems (TMS)

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of experience in transportation, logistics, supply chain, or related field
  • Experience in accounts payable, invoicing, or finance support preferred
  • Strong Excel skills, including data matching and pivot tables
  • Experience handling freight invoices, LTL shipments, or claims preferred
  • Ability to analyze discrepancies and resolve issues independently
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Clear and professional communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience preferred
