Beacon Hill Legal is seeking a Civil Litigation Attorney for a long-term contract opportunity in Atlanta, Georgia.
This is an immediate need for an experienced litigation attorney to support a high-volume legal department handling complex civil matters. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing cases from inception through resolution and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with significant interaction across multiple stakeholders.
Position Details
- Long-term contract opportunity with potential for temp-to-perm conversion
- Full-time schedule, 40 hours per week
- Hybrid schedule: 4 days onsite and 1 day remote
- Downtown Atlanta, GA
- Immediate start available
- Hourly rate: $42/hour
Responsibilities
- Handle all phases of litigation from case initiation through appeal
- Develop litigation strategy and oversee case management
- Conduct written and oral discovery
- Take and defend depositions
- Draft motions, pleadings, briefs, and other litigation documents
- Participate in mediations, settlement negotiations, and alternative dispute resolution proceedings
- Represent clients in administrative hearings and court proceedings
- Collaborate with junior attorneys and legal staff on case strategy and execution
- Conduct legal research and analyze complex legal issues
- Draft legislative and policy-related materials as needed
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Active Georgia Bar license in good standing
- Minimum of 5 years of civil litigation experience
- Experience practicing in both state and federal courts
- Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
- Ability to independently manage a litigation caseload
- Experience handling depositions, hearings, and motion practice
- Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
- First or second chair trial experience
- Experience mentoring or working closely with associate attorneys
- Background in municipal, county, state government, tort, employment, or constitutional law
- Experience researching and drafting legislation
