Beacon Hill Legal is seeking a Litigation Paralegal for a temporary assignment supporting our client, a Tampa, Florida-based law firm.
Our client is seeking a Litigation Paralegal to provide immediate support to a busy insurance litigation practice. This role will assist with all phases of litigation and will also include legal administrative responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of litigation paralegal experience, with insurance defense experience strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist with all aspects of litigation, including fact and expert discovery.
- Draft and manage disclosures, discovery requests, discovery responses, document productions, privilege logs, subpoenas, and deposition notices.
- Conduct document review and maintain organized case files.
- Manage attorney calendaring and litigation deadlines.
- Support electronic discovery and document management initiatives.
- Coordinate deposition preparation, exhibits, binders, and case materials.
- Assist with mediation and trial preparation.
- Draft and maintain witness lists, exhibit lists, trial notebooks, and jury instruction materials.
- Coordinate with courts, vendors, witnesses, and opposing counsel as needed.
- Provide legal administrative support to attorneys and litigation teams.
- Attend trials when required.
- Handle additional litigation support projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of litigation paralegal experience.
- Insurance defense experience strongly preferred.
- Experience supporting attorneys through all phases of litigation.
- Experience with discovery, depositions, trial preparation, and document management.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Experience with Relativity, Adobe Acrobat, and Westlaw or Lexis platforms.
- Strong organizational, research, and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with legal teams.
- Paralegal certificate preferred but not required.
Schedule
- Full-time
- Monday through Friday
- 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- One-hour unpaid lunch
- Hybrid schedule with approximately 2-3 days in the office each week; in-office schedule will be finalized during the hiring process
Location
- Tampa, FL
Assignment Details
- Temporary assignment
- Immediate start preferred
- Expected duration of approximately 4-6 weeks
- Potential for future permanent consideration may exist, although no conversion is guaranteed
