Merchandising & Retail Service Analyst

Position Summary

Beacon Hill is seeking an analytical Data Analyst to support strategic growth and operational initiatives within a fast-moving Pro Trade Credit environment. This role combines data analysis, operational research, customer support, process improvement, and ownership of small-to-medium projects.

The ideal candidate has 1-3 years of data, project, or program analysis experience and is comfortable investigating problems, working through ambiguity, and turning data into actionable recommendations.

Position Details

• Pay Rate: $28-$34/hour
• Schedule: Monday-Friday; preferred 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
• Work Arrangement: Onsite
• Start Date: Immediately

Key Responsibilities

• Perform ad hoc data analysis and build reporting to support business and operational decisions
• Research operational issues and conduct root-cause analysis to identify problems and improvement opportunities
• Monitor customer application pipelines from submission through approval and onboarding
• Track pilot activity, customer progression, and operational performance
• Identify trends, process gaps, and potential workflow improvements
• Develop and test solutions designed to improve operational efficiency
• Support customer-service needs and resolve business process issues
• Own small-to-medium projects and workstreams from analysis through execution
• Communicate findings, recommendations, and results to cross-functional partners
• Help improve reporting, workflows, and existing business processes

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required
• Experience as a Business Analyst, Operations Analyst, Data Analyst, Project Analyst, Program Analyst, or similar analytical role
• Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to structure an analysis and work through problems without having every detail provided upfront
• Experience researching operational issues and identifying root causes
• Ability to manage small-to-medium projects or initiatives
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Comfortable working cross-functionally in a fast-moving environment
• Ability to work effectively with ambiguous or open-ended assignments
• SQL and/or Google BigQuery experience preferred, but not required
• Must be based in the Atlanta area and available for onsite training during the first 1-2 weeks
