Beacon Hill is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Administrative Assistant to support the Outreach Department of a non-profit organization in Homewood, IL. This individual will helping manage communications and keep our team organized and efficient.
Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to the Outreach Director and team members
- Schedule meetings, prepare agendas, and take meeting minutes
- Manage department calendars, contact lists, and outreach databases
- Assist in planning and logistics for outreach events, including registrations, materials, and follow-up
- Draft and format emails, flyers, and reports as needed
- Handle phone and email inquiries related to outreach programs
- Track inventory and order supplies for events and office needs
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth communication and coordination
Qualifications:
- 1+ years of experience in an administrative role, preferably in a nonprofit or outreach setting
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and database management
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- High attention to detail and follow-through
- Passion for nonprofit work and community engagement
