A well-established nonprofit organization in Boston is seeking two temporary Filing Clerks to assist with a short-term records project. This position runs Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM and pays $18 per hour. The role offers an immediate start and is expected to last approximately 6+ weeks, depending on project completion. This is an excellent opportunity for entry-level candidates or recent graduates to gain hands-on administrative experience in a mission-driven organization that serves the elderly and individuals with disabilities.
Job Responsibilities:
- Sort and file physical documents accurately in alphabetical order
- Organize and maintain three distinct chart types: Homecare/Unified Charts, Closed Homecare Charts, and SCO/Combination Charts
- Maintain confidentiality and precision while handling sensitive records
- Use Microsoft Excel to support and track filing progress
- Collaborate with and take direction from the on-site manager
Candidate Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous administrative or clerical experience preferred
- Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently in a structured setting
