Our client, an investment firm located in Stamford, CT is looking for a Temporary Office Assistant to join their team. The schedule is Monday – Friday, onsite, 8: 30am – 5pm with 30 mins unpaid lunch (40 hours/week). The temp duration is approximately 2-3 months with potential to extend. Pay: $24/hour.
Core Responsibilities:
- Liaise between administration and facilities team addressing general office needs
- Coordinate and manage daily lunch orders, including vendor selection, order placement, tracking deliveries, and maintaining supplies while ensuring accuracy and cost efficiency
- Stock and order supplies, beverages, and groceries in assigned areas
- Manage mail / package distribution and services
- Assist with processing and tracking facility-related invoices, including reviewing for accuracy, coordinating approvals, and partnering with vendors and internal teams to ensure timely payment
- Keep office common areas organized and maintained
- Assist with setup and breakdown of meetings (including dialing into virtual meetings)
- Assist with ad hoc department projects, such as the production of presentation materials
- Perform other project related duties as assigned
Qualifications and Attributes:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Excellent customer service, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to multi-task
- Demonstrate an “all hands-on deck” mentality every day and willingness to adapt quickly
- Proficient in various technology facets, including MS Office Suite
- Pro-active team player with strong work ethic, collaborative attitude, and professional demeanor
- Strong written, oral communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality
