Our client a global nonprofit organization is seeking a Senior HR Consultant to join their team on a long term temporary basis in Washington, D.C.
About The Job:
- Provide end-to-end HR consulting support across recruitment, leave management, and HR policy development
- Support full-cycle recruiting, including job postings, interview coordination, and candidate communications
- Review and improve recruitment workflows, tools, and hiring processes for consistency and efficiency
- Administer and enhance leave management processes, ensuring compliance with federal and organizational policies
- Lead a full review and revision of the employee handbook, updating policies and improving structure and usability
- Partner with HR leadership to strengthen HR infrastructure and optimize processes and documentation
- Develop SOPs and improve onboarding, offboarding, and HR recordkeeping practices
- Provide guidance on employee relations matters and ensure compliance with HR policies and regulations
About You:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 10+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in nonprofit or international organizations
- Strong experience supporting recruitment, leave administration, and HR policy development
- Deep knowledge of U.S. employment laws and HR compliance requirements
- Experience working with distributed or global teams preferred
- Strong project management, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and sound judgment
- HR certification preferred
About The Position:
- Start Date: ASAP!
- Long term temporary position
- $40-$54/hr
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, standard business hours
