Our client, a local DC school, is seeking a Facilities Coordinator to join their team on a temporary basis with a strong possibility of going permanent in Washington, D.C.
About The Job:
- Coordinate daily facility operations, maintenance, repairs, and custodial services across multiple locations
- Ensure buildings remain clean, safe, functional, and compliant with applicable health and safety regulations
- Serve as the primary contact for contractors, building service providers, and facility-related requests
- Monitor facility systems, maintenance schedules, work orders, and emergency response needs
- Assist with events, meetings, room setups, inventory tracking, and facility documentation
- Support compliance initiatives, safety inspections, and building maintenance projects
About You:
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel between locations daily is required
- High school diploma or GED required
- 3+ years of facilities or building maintenance experience, ideally in an educational environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and general computer systems
- Knowledge of building maintenance, safety regulations, and facility operations
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and work independently or as part of a team
About The Position:
- Start Date: ASAP!
- $20-$23/hr
- Fully onsite
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM-2:30 PM
