Beacon Hill Financial is working with a non-profit in Washington, D.C. that is searching for a Budget & Finance Officer. The Budget and Finance Officer is responsible for overseeing the development, execution, and reconciliation of multi-source federal budgets and financial reports. This role requires experience in both the non-profit and federal space. This role provides fiscal oversight, supports audit readiness, and ensures compliance with federal financial regulations and reporting standards. Key Responsibilities:

Manage and reconcile complex budgets involving appropriations, reimbursements, transfers, and trust accounts; provide funding projections and financial planning support.

Analyze spending trends, monitor fund utilization, and advise program and financial managers on budget execution and availability.

Prepare and submit financial reports (e.g., SF-133, Trial Balance) to federal agencies such as OMB, DOT, and GSA, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Perform fund obligation tasks, including grants and vendor payments, payroll reviews, and inter-agency transfers, while maintaining accurate documentation and audit trails.

Conduct reconciliations between general ledger accounts, financial systems and budget reports to prevent ADA violations.

Support audit preparations and maintain detailed procedural documentation; apply advanced Excel functions (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros) for financial analysis and reporting.
