Looking for your next payroll opportunity? We are partnering with a growing organization in the Tampa area that is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join their team on a contract basis. While this is a contract opportunity for now, there is a strong potential to extend long term and could even lead to a full-time position for the right person. This position offers a highly flexible hybrid schedule with the potential for increased remote work over time. You’ll work alongside an experienced payroll team in a collaborative environment that values training, professional growth, and teamwork.
Responsibilities:
- Process payroll accurately and timely
- Review payroll data, earnings, deductions, and tax information
- Research and resolve payroll discrepancies
- Assist with payroll audits and reporting
- Partner with HR, Finance, and employees to answer payroll-related questions
- Support payroll system maintenance, updates, and process improvements
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of in-house payroll experience
- Strong understanding of payroll processes and compliance
- Experience working with payroll systems and HRIS platforms
- High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team
