Bookkeeper / Accounting Assistant – Arlington, VA
Beacon Hill Financial has partnered with a growing organization in Arlington, VA to identify a Bookkeeper / Accounting Assistant to join their team. This on-site role is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting professional who enjoys handling day-to-day financial tasks and supporting general accounting functions. The ideal candidate will have experience with QuickBooks, strong Excel skills, and a solid understanding of bookkeeping principles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Record daily financial transactions and maintain accurate general ledger entries.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoice coding, data entry, and payment follow-up.
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements on a monthly basis.
- Assist with payroll processing and tracking employee reimbursements.
- Support the month-end close process and prepare financial reports as needed.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records and assist with audits.
- Provide administrative support to the finance team and assist with ad hoc accounting projects.
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills and a team-player mindset.
