Payroll Specialist – Hybrid in Norwood or Medford, MA
Our client, a well-established construction company, is seeking a Payroll Specialist to manage weekly union payroll for a dedicated employee group. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to work independently, and experience with high-volume, multi-state payroll processing. Ideal for candidates with union payroll experience and familiarity with construction industry operations.
Responsibilities:
- Process weekly payroll for union and non-union employees across multiple states
- Ensure accurate calculation of wages, deductions, benefits, and union dues
- Reconcile hours, overtime, and other timekeeping data in accordance with agreements
- Address employee payroll questions and resolve discrepancies
- Prepare payroll reports and ensure timely tax filings and remittances
- Collaborate with HR, finance, and payroll team members to ensure accuracy and compliance
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of payroll processing experience, including union payroll
- Experience with multi-state payroll highly preferred
- Familiarity with construction or field-based workforce is a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with COINS software is a bonus but not required
