Beacon Hill Financial is seeking a Contract to Hire Construction Accountant for our client in the Maple Plain Area. This role is 100% onsite and offers pay ranging from $42-$46 per hour, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage full-cycle accounting, including AP, AR, general ledger, reconciliations, and month-end reporting
- Prepare payroll tax filings, sales tax reports, W-2s, 1099s, and support annual audits
- Handle banking activities, cash reporting, deposits, and loan tracking
- Administer workers’ compensation reporting, insurance policies, claims, and renewals
- Maintain contractor licenses, business registrations, and compliance requirements across multiple states
- Assist with budgeting, financial analysis, collections, and cash flow management
- Coordinate with external CPAs and banking partners
- Maintain accurate financial records and document retention processes
- Recommend process improvements and support company leadership with special projects
Qualifications:
- Construction industry experience strongly preferred
- Knowledge of GAAP, sales tax, payroll tax, and financial reporting
- Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently
