Beacon Hill Legal is seeking a Real Estate Legal Assistant to join a highly regarded law firm located in downtown Chicago! This is a full-time, permanent position with a 35-hour work week, hybrid flexibility (in-office approximately 10 days per month), strong benefits, and competitive compensation.
Skills required and Job Duties include the following:
* At minimum 3+ years of commercial real estate experience (5+ preferred)
* Prepare, draft, and edit legal documents and correspondence from draft to final
* Assist with real estate transactions including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and financing matters
* Prepare and manage closing documents, signature page packets, escrow instructions, and closing binders
* Maintain and update transaction checklists, tracking deadlines, contingencies, and deliverables
* Order and coordinate due diligence materials including zoning reports, surveys, water certifications, and title documents
* Open new client matters and organize/maintain electronic case files and databases
* Manage calendars, schedule meetings, and track key dates using docketing systems
* Process invoices, reimbursements, and assist with administrative support including travel coordination
Additional Details:
* Must have strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills
* Ability to manage multiple transactions in a fast-paced environment
* Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook), including formatting and redlining
* Experience with Adobe Acrobat required; Visio, iManage, and HotDocs are a plus
* Collaborative, detail-oriented, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
