Beacon Hill Legal is seeking a Litigation Legal Assistant to join a dynamic, team‑based litigation support group within a large downtown St. Louis law firm. This role operates in a collaborative “pool” structure, providing high‑quality administrative support to litigation attorneys across multiple practice areas. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast‑paced environment, enjoys variety in their work, and is skilled at managing shifting priorities for multiple attorneys.
Key Responsibilities
- Support litigation attorneys on an as‑needed basis across all stages of litigation.
- Prepare, revise, and format pleadings, discovery responses, correspondence, and other legal documents.
- Manage document production, including organizing, indexing, and maintaining electronic and physical case files.
- Assist with state and federal e‑filing and ensure compliance with applicable court rules and deadlines.
- Coordinate attorney calendars, schedule meetings, and assist with time entry.
- Transcribe dictation and draft routine correspondence with strong attention to grammar and clarity.
- Support trial preparation, including assembling binders, preparing witness materials, and coordinating logistics.
- Collaborate closely with other team members to ensure consistent, high‑quality support across the litigation department.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent; some college coursework preferred.
- Minimum of two years in a law firm setting.
- Typing speed of 70+ WPM with strong transcription accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and document management systems.
- Strong command of spelling, grammar, and proofreading.
- Excellent organizational skills, including file management and the ability to prioritize multiple deadlines.
- Dependable team player with strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Ability to work efficiently in a dynamic environment supporting multiple attorneys.

Schedule & Compensation
This is a full‑time position with hours of 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The role offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes major medical coverage, 401(k) participation, and paid parking.
