Senior Business Development Specialist – Litigation (Hybrid)

We are seeking a Senior Business Development Specialist to support our Litigation practice in a fast‑paced, partner‑driven law firm environment. This role supports litigation partners and practice leadership with client development, pitches, proposals, and strategic marketing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary business development contact for assigned Litigation partners and practice groups
  • Draft and manage pitches, proposals, RFP responses, and presentations
  • Partner with practice leadership on business development strategy, client targeting, and pursuits
  • Track outreach efforts, opportunities, and follow‑ups
  • Maintain and update practice experience lists, matter descriptions, and client‑facing materials
  • Coordinate awards, directory, and league table submissions
  • Collaborate with Communications on press, thought leadership, and speaking opportunities
  • Support practice‑related events, webinars, and client programs
  • Assist with lateral partner onboarding and integration
  • Work closely with BD, Communications, Recruiting, and other business services teams

Qualifications

  • Prior experience supporting a Litigation practice required
  • 5-7+ years of business development or legal marketing experience
  • AMLaw firm experience strongly preferred
  • Will consider former Litigation Associates who have transitioned out of practicing law
  • Strong writing skills with experience producing polished client‑facing content
  • Confident, professional presence when working directly with partners
  • Highly organized with strong project‑management skills

Role Details

  • Hybrid schedule: 3 days in office / 2 remote
  • Hours: 9:30am-5:30pm, with occasional overtime
  • Interview process: Two virtual interviews followed by one onsite
