Location: San Diego (onsite)

Overview
This position will provide operational leadership across a large sustainment and maintenance organization supporting mission-critical communications and electronics systems. The Operations Manager will oversee day-to-day execution while coordinating engineering, logistics, quality, configuration management, financial performance, and customer-facing activities.
Responsibilities
- Lead daily operations across maintenance, repair, testing, and sustainment activities
- Manage cross-functional teams including engineering, logistics, quality, and program stakeholders
- Serve as primary interface with government and customer representatives
- Drive operational efficiency, process improvements, and readiness objectives
- Support budgeting, forecasting, labor utilization, and financial performance
- Oversee quality, configuration management, documentation, and compliance processes
- Identify and mitigate operational, schedule, technical, and financial risks
- Support continuous improvement and future capability growth initiatives
Requirements
- 10+ years supporting defense, communications, electronics, maintenance, sustainment, manufacturing, or related operations
- 3+ years leading teams, projects, or operational organizations
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, cost management, or program financial performance
- Experience with quality management, configuration management, risk management, or process improvement
- Ability to work directly with government customers and senior stakeholders
- Active Interim Secret clearance or higher
Preferred
- Navy, DoD, communications systems, RF systems, networking equipment, or C5ISR experience
- Lean Six Sigma, PMP, DAWIA, ASQ, or similar certifications
- Experience leading operational improvement initiatives
