Beacon Hill Legal is partnering with a full-service Am Law 100 law firm seeking an experienced Trademark Paralegal to support a high-volume trademark prosecution practice. This role reports to the Trademark Supervisor and offers a fully remote work arrangement with standard hours of 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM PT. Candidates located in Austin, Houston, Dallas, and surrounding areas are preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Support domestic and international trademark prosecution, including USPTO and WIPO filings
- Prepare and file applications and prosecution documents (e.g., assignments, office action responses, statements/affidavits of use, renewals)
- Assist with TTAB matters, including oppositions and cancellations
- Coordinate with foreign associates on international filings and deadlines
- Communicate with clients regarding matter status and ongoing activity
- Manage incoming files and maintain trademark portfolios
- Maintain docketing systems, records, and document management databases
- Prepare client status reports and docket reports
- Conduct U.S. and international clearance searches and assist with analysis
- Track billable time and ensure compliance with firm requirements
- Provide high-level client service to internal and external stakeholders
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or equivalent experience required
- 10+ years of trademark and copyright prosecution experience required
- Strong knowledge of U.S. and international IP rules and procedures
- Experience with IP docketing systems
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and document management systems
- Willingness to work overtime as needed
