Beacon Hill is currently staffing for several Tax Consulting engagements across the New Jersey and Philadelphia markets. These opportunities span Senior Tax Analyst through Tax Manager levels and include interim, project‑based, and fractional tax consulting roles with a variety of clients.
Responsibilities:
- Support and manage federal, state, and local tax compliance for corporations, partnerships, and pass‑through entities
- Prepare and review income tax returns, extensions, and estimated payments
- Assist with tax provisions (ASC 740) and year‑end tax reporting
- Perform tax research and draft technical memos on complex tax issues
- Support multi‑state filings, nexus analysis, and apportionment
- Collaborate with internal teams, external advisors, and auditors
- Provide interim tax leadership during staffing gaps, system implementations, or peak periods
- Improve and streamline tax processes and documentation
- Lead project‑based or fractional engagements focused on stabilizing and enhancing tax functions
Qualifications:
- Experience in tax accounting, tax consulting, or public accounting
- Background as a Senior Tax Analyst, Tax Manager, or similar level
- Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations
- Experience with corporate, partnership, and pass‑through taxation
- Exposure to ASC 740 / tax provision work preferred
- Familiarity with tax software such as CCH, ProSystem, UltraTax, or similar
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast‑paced environments
- Strong analytical, communication, and client‑facing skills
- Consulting or project‑based tax experience highly preferred
