Junior Revenue Accountant

We’re seeking a detail-oriented Junior Revenue Accountant to join a growing accounting team. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate revenue recognition in accordance with accounting standards, supporting month-end close, and partnering with cross-functional teams to analyze and report revenue activity.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and record revenue journal entries
- Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue close process
- Review contracts and assess proper revenue recognition treatment
- Reconcile revenue-related accounts (deferred revenue, unbilled AR, etc.)
- Analyze revenue fluctuations and provide variance explanations
- Support billing operations and collaborate with AR teams
- Assist with audits by preparing documentation and responding to inquiries
- Maintain and improve revenue accounting processes and internal controls
- Partner with Sales, FP&A, and Operations on revenue-related matters
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 2-5+ years of accounting experience (revenue, GL, or public accounting preferred)
- Strong understanding of revenue recognition principles (ASC 606)
- Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, etc.)
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.)
- Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset
