Summary:
A Beacon Hill client is seeking a Financial Analyst for a temporary assignment. This role will support the finance team with financial reporting, data analysis, and budgeting activities. The Financial Analyst will help evaluate financial performance, identify trends, and provide insights that support strategic decision-making across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and analyze financial reports, including monthly performance and variance analysis.
* Support budgeting and forecasting processes by gathering data and maintaining financial models.
* Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
* Assist with month-end and quarter-end reporting requirements.
* Maintain and update financial models and Excel-based reporting tools.
* Partner with department leaders to review budget vs. actual results.
* Compile data and prepare presentations for finance leadership and management teams.
* Assist with ad hoc financial analysis and reporting projects as needed.
* Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data within internal systems.
Skills & Qualifications
* 2-4+ years of financial analysis, accounting, or finance experience.
* Strong understanding of financial reporting and budgeting concepts.
* Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, financial modeling).
* Experience working with ERP or financial systems.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
* Ability to analyze large data sets and present findings clearly.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
* Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, or financial planning processes.
* Experience with BI tools or reporting software (Power BI, Tableau, etc.).
* Prior experience in corporate finance, FP&A, or consulting environments
