Beacon Hill is staffing for a Bookkeeper opportunity with a growing, mission-driven organization in the South Jersey region. This is a full-time position that is primarily onsite, with limited hybrid flexibility available after an initial ramp‑up period.
Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, including vendor communication.
- Process invoices, payments, and expense documentation with accuracy and timeliness.
- Record and reconcile financial transactions, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date accounting records in accordance with internal policies.
- Assist with month-end close activities, including reconciliations and basic reporting.
- Support budgeting and financial tracking efforts as needed.
- Prepare and file sales tax and support compliance-related reporting.
- Assist with audit preparation by gathering documentation and responding to inquiries.
- Participate in internal meetings and collaborate with cross-functional team members.
- Perform additional bookkeeping and administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in a bookkeeping or accounting support role.
- Strong understanding of AP/AR, reconciliations, and general ledger fundamentals.
- Hands-on experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
- High attention to detail with strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a structured environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
