We are partnering with a growing organization in Schaumburg, Illinois, seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist to support day‑to‑day HR operations and employee relations. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, can manage multiple priorities, and is motivated by contributing to a positive and compliant workplace. This is a contract opportunity with potential for extension and follows a hybrid schedule, with onsite presence required several days per week.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide support across core HR functions, including employee relations, onboarding, benefits administration, and compliance

  • Serve as a resource for employees and managers, addressing HR inquiries and guiding them through policies and procedures

  • Assist with recruitment efforts, including job postings, screening, and interview coordination

  • Manage new‑hire onboarding, orientation, and documentation to ensure a smooth transition

  • Support performance management processes, including tracking reviews and assisting with corrective action documentation

  • Maintain accurate employee records within HRIS systems and ensure data integrity

  • Assist with benefits enrollment, changes, and employee questions

  • Help coordinate training sessions, HR initiatives, and employee engagement activities

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and internal HR policies

  • Support special HR projects and administrative tasks as needed

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience

  • 3-5 years of HR generalist experience, preferably in a mid‑sized or fast‑paced environment

  • Strong knowledge of HR practices, employment laws, and compliance requirements

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong working relationships

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Experience with HRIS systems; open to various platforms

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or similar tools

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism
