Beacon Hill is partnering with a growing multi-unit franchise organization is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounting Assistant to support its corporate accounting team in New Brunswick NJ.
This role plays a key part in maintaining smooth financial operations across multiple locations in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. It’s an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience and grow within a collaborative team.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, on-site, 9:00-5:00
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the accounts payable function, including matching, batching, and coding invoices
- Provide backup support for accounts receivable, including cash applications and payment postings
- Assist with cash reconciliations, daily sales reporting, and deposit tracking across multiple locations
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
- Maintain organized electronic and physical records for invoices, receipts, and related documentation
- Support month-end close activities, data entry, and reporting needs
- Communicate with internal teams and external vendors to gather missing information and resolve billing issues
- Assist with general administrative tasks to support day-to-day operations
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience preferred (AP experience strongly preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage repetitive, high-volume tasks
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with multi-unit or restaurant systems is a plus
