A law firm with an opening in its Charleston or Greenville, SC, office is seeking a litigation paralegal with at least 3 years of experience in a law firm. This paralegal will support a partner and assist with a variety of insurance defense cases.
The ideal paralegal candidate will have a thorough understanding of all phases of litigation and hands-on experience with insurance defense files. A four-year degree or a paralegal certificate and at least 3 years of experience as a litigation paralegal at a law firm are required.
The responsibilities of this litigation paralegal will include:
- Performing legal research.
- Maintaining and organizing case files
- Assisting with trial preparation.
- Drafting legal documents, including motions, discovery, privilege logs, subpoenas, and certificates of service.
- Answering discovery, interrogatories, and requests for production of documents.
- E-filing in State and Federal Courts.
- Other tasks as assigned.
